Today I welcome Scott Thomas to the show. Scott is a very successful Consumer Marketer. He has worked with some of the biggest brands in the market such as Bausch & Lomb and Cartoon Network. He has killer leadership skills that get him great feedback comments on LinkedIn with keywords like intelligent, thoughtful, gifted, and approachable. Despite this glowing praise he remains down to earth and candid about his success.

Scott and I met during a charity event for Atlanta’s Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He raised over one hundred and four thousand dollars during that single event. Even now he credits his circle of friends for helping him raise the money and helping him thrive despite his difficult road.

Scott is a leukemia survivor. He shares his story of survival with me along with other challenges that he faced around the same time frame. He also discusses how the cultural attitude has shifted in the workplace towards his sexual orientation.

Other Topics We Discussed:

  • How to lead diverse groups of people.
  • Why personalization is key to leadership.
  • Why you need to be authentic to yourself in your leadership style.
  • Why some brands will always go the political correct route.
  • Why data is king in today’s media.
